Waking up in morning can be a chore for most people while others are up as soon as
the alarm rings. We all would love to wake up naturally refreshed but the snooze
button becomes our best friend in the morning, leading to oversleeping. This can not
only hit productivity, but it can also create many mental and physical problems.
Instead of snuggling under the covers in bed and desperately trying to grab sleep
between alarms, you can invest those valuable moments in yourself and improve
your health. You can take up jogging or invest in a Reformer Pilates membership
at the nearest gym and make the most of the early morning hours. Here’s how you
can seize every waking moment right from the time you get out of bed:
Begin planning the earlier night: Create comprehensive to-do lists and goals for
the next day and post them on your nightstand. This way you will have a plan ready
for the coming 24 hours in advance even before the day begins. It will allow you to
hit the floor running when the sun rises the next day.
Hydrate yourself: When a person sleeps for a minimum of six to eight hours, the
body is dehydrated and is the longest time that it is deprived of water. Drink water,
preferably warm, before you gulp down your first cuppa in the morning to give your
body the perfect start to its day.
Eat within an hour of waking: Make yourself a breakfast and consume it within an
hour of waking up in the morning. Ensure this breakfast contains carbohydrates,
proteins and a tiny amount of fat so that you remain charged through the day.
Seek motivation: What is it that you like the most? If you love to listen to old Hindi
film songs or devotional music or the latest Bollywood hits, take your pick and play
them while you go about your morning tasks. If you like to read (and have the time)
pick up your book and spend some time with it before moving on to daily chores. Get
some time for yourself and do things you love, in fact do everything you think will
keep you motivated.
Brush aside negativity: It is important to nurture positive thoughts to give your mind
and body a much-needed boost early in the morning. If negativity strikes, restart and
refocus your energy towards becoming positive again.
Exercise: How about joining a gym that offers Pilates training in Mumbai so that
your day begins with energy to take you through the day. It is indeed the best way of
starting the day as exercise is taken care of and you are free to pursue other chores
of the day.
